GPS system uses 24 aircraft in lap 20.200 km orbit inclined at 55 degrees. These spacecraft are placed in 6 orbit planes and four operational satellites in each plane. All have been successfully launched but one launch failure in 1981. Full 24-satellite Constellation completed on March 9, 1994.
The first ten spacecraft (GPS Block 1) is used to demonstrate the potential of the GPS system. The tendency of the orbit used by these satellites is 63 degrees, 55 degrees different from those used operating system. Block 2 space began operating system. Block 2A space (A = Advanced) is a little improvement over the Block 2.
Global Positioning System (GPS) was designed as a system of dual use basis and purpose of U.S. and Allied military forces increase. GPS is rapidly becoming part of the Global Information Infrastructure that appears, with the application of the test map of air traffic management of international and global change research. Increased demand from the military, civil, commercial, and scientific names has resulted in U.S. commercial GPS navigation systems equipment and services the world's leading industries. Augmentations to enhance GPS-based services can expand these civil markets and trade.
GPS system receiver uses triangulation GPS navigation satellite signals to determine their location. Satellites provide two different signals that provide different accuracy. Rough-buy (C / A) code is a target for civilian use, and intentionally damaged. Accuracy by using the example of civilian GPS receiver with C / A code is usually around 100 meters. S Military Precision (P) code is not broken, and provide position accuracy within approximately 20 meters. Various on-line tutorial of how GPS works and applications available, including those at the University of Texas and the International Rentec. GPS satellite-controlled GPS system in the Master Control Station (MCS) is the Falcon Air Force Base outside Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ground segment also includes four active-tracking base antennas and five passive-tracking monitor stations.
GPS receiver technology has evolved rapidly during the last few years. Antenna GPS receiver initial size I am I have a box the size of my child's blow up swimming. Over time, the system was in development citizen-friendly programs, and the GPS receiver technology has been miniaturized as well. Car GPS receiver is the size of the card Deck. The GPS receiver used in the human hand device no bigger than a small cell phone. Many newer phones have a GPS receiver in the hands of their main stage. Industrial development as a GPS receiver, they will get a job through the screen, the use of force and dexterity limitations. Individuals need to screen size, which can be viewed from different angles and at a reasonable distance. The GPS receiver is generally always on time use, to manage power that will continue into the problem. The ability to press a small button will restrict how some of the GPS receiver can be. If the system develops touch screen and other inputs was introduced, we will see the GPS receiver to continue the changes in appearance and use.
