Although credit for the discovery of the phone remains in doubt and open to much debate and discussion, no doubt about the effect seen from the development of this mode of telecommunications. Inventors including Alexander Graham Bell, Elisha Gray, Johann Phillip Reis and Antonio Meucci all claimed that they found the first phone.
